where it all began

Over half a decade ago, on the slopes of the Altar volcano in Ecuador, two young adventurers found themselves stuck in a tent during four days weathering out a storm. Engulfed by this wild weather and equally in awe of the power of mother nature, our founders had a lot of time to think about what would be the best way to share their love for the outdoors, passion for sustainability and admiration for local communities with the rest of the world. It was at that moment that Kingue was born. This Adventure School came into existence as the means to share that love, passion and admiration with the world. Our commitment to the environment is reflected through teaching sustainability practices to our students with Leave No Trace principles and ethics. We seek to go beyond no impact practices and strive to create a positive impact on the places where we work by “Leaving a Good Trace.” We partner with local communities in an effort to empower them and achieve common goals. We have created strategic bonds with education centers to improve our practices on delivering our passion and love for the outdoors. Our instructors have vast experience working for the National Outdoors Leadership School and are certified as Leave No Trace Master Educators and  Wilderness First Responders.

At first, we worked with corporate groups in industries ranging from fast food to health, insurance and travel. We provided them with innovative solutions and lessons around leadership, communication and conflict resolution through outdoor experiences that introduced many of them to their natural surroundings. We have now expanded to institutional courses for high schools and universities around the world, in order to deliver immersive experiences for groups of all ages to discover the wonders of the natural world.
